
SMART4D Build Environment
Level: UOGC 301 Introductory Level
Length of Course: 1 day (9:30 am to 11:45am; 1:15 to 4:15pm)
Format: Hands-on (NT Workstations)Prerequisite: UOGC 203
Objectives:
This hands-on introductory course familiarizes clients to the ‘Build Environment’ module of SMART4D Modelling, a PC based software application. Clients will use actual sample data for training purposes. Training will acquaint clients to the global concepts behind building of 3D and 4D models. Issues regarding quality control, batch-importing facility will be discussed. As well as basics of geostatistics and automation processes within SMART4D. Within this session the attendees will be able to quickly construct 3D and 4D models.
Target Audience:
Petroleum professionals in any, or all areas of: geology, geophysics, petrophysics, reservoir engineering. Prerequisites are the Visualization Courses.

- Data QC:
- Multi-well, Multi-Trace importing facility
- Tops management and import/export facility
- Data sources and integration of data from following areas:
- Geological (logs, tops)
- Geophysical (3D and 2D seismic, Amplitude Maps)
- Engineering Data Integration (Pressure and Production Maps)
- Environmental (Air Photos and Topography)
Geo-statistics Basics for building 3D Models:
- Deterministic and Stochastic Methods
