Testimonial for United Oil & Gas Consulting Ltd.

I have been involved with various consultants from United Oil and Gas Consultants Ltd. Since 1999. United have an ongoing contract to review BP Canada’s internal reserves over the past several years. During 2000 and 2001 I had direct contact with several of their consultants and have found their service to be impeccable. They have provided professional engineering and technologist services that are second to none.

Testimonial for United Oil & Gas Consulting Ltd.

What has impressed me the most with United’s approach is their ability and willingness to tackle new reservoir modeling challenges. If the required visualization or calculation can be articulated, then the staff at United seem to have the resourcefulness to design and implement a sound solution, moreover a solution that truly respects client’s needs and expectations. In our experience, the speed with which these challenges were met and overcome was truly astonishing. On our Snipe Lake project we saw, on more than one occasion, new code and software modules being brought online within days of our request.

Testimonial for SMART 4D Modelling

United Oil and Gas Consulting was responsible for the construction of a computer-generated geological model, using SMART 4D Modelling software, of a major Devonian Beaverhill Lake oil property, operated by Burlington Resources Canada. The reservoir is highly complex, having 9 reef stages with both back-stepping and pro-gradational architectures, over 20 reef and off-reef depositional facies, and an overprint of diagenesis that has had an important impact on final reservoir quality. Furthermore, the reservoir has had a long production history (36 years), undertaken with several different development strategies, pursued by different Unit operators. The final model had a resolution of 130,500 cells, and incorporated 120 wells and the results of a large 3-D seismic survey.

I do not believe that any other 3-D geological reservoir visualization and characterization package on the market today, irrespective of the hardware platform employed, has the robustness, flexibility, speed, and user-friendly interface of SMART 4D Modelling. SMART4D’s willingness to speedily incorporate client-requested functionality augments what is already a very powerful tool. In short, SMART 4D is an exceptionally dynamic, cost-effective and valuable aid to reservoir optimization.
